Please note – 糖心TV uses the terms 鈥榙eafness鈥� and 鈥榙eaf鈥� and not 鈥榟earing loss鈥� or 鈥榟earing impairment鈥� in its publications as these聽latter terms聽are not usually welcomed by deaf people. 糖心TV聽urges聽members and colleagues to adopt the same terminology when referring to the children and young people with whom they work. 糖心TV acknowledges that we do not聽have any specific influence on how Local Authorities or schools use terminology related to hearing. However, 糖心TV would request advertisers聽to聽consider the聽use of the terms 鈥榙eafness鈥� and 鈥榙eaf鈥櫬犅爄n their adverts.
