Recruitment request – PECAN (Perspectives on Effective Classroom Amplification: Navigation and Choice)

Lancaster University research project called PECAN (Perspectives on Effective Classroom Amplification: Navigation and Choice), led through the PELiCAN Lab.

The project is exploring how children with mild bilateral or unilateral hearing loss are supported in school environments, particularly around the use of amplification and assistive
listening technologies such as remote microphone systems and classroom soundfield systems.
As part of the project, the research team are conducting online stakeholder interviews with professionals across audiology, education, charities, assistive technology, and related
services to explore:
* classroom listening environments and acoustics
* assistive listening technologies in practice
* educational support pathways
* barriers and future directions for support
The interview would take place online, last approximately 30–45 minutes, and participants will be reimbursed at a rate of £25 per hour.
