Are you a passionate and inspiring Early Years teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of deaf children?

Royal Cross Primary School for Deaf Children is Lancashire鈥檚 specialist school for deaf children and an outstanding provider of deaf education. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join our committed and highly skilled team.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a specialist setting where communication, language development and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do. You will create a nurturing, language-rich learning environment that enables deaf children to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Working alongside specialist Deaf Education Assistants, Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Audiologists and other professionals, you will play a key role in supporting every child to achieve their full potential.

We are looking for an excellent practitioner with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to inclusive education. A key requirement of this role is a willingness to undertake and successfully complete the Mandatory Qualification for Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People (MQToD) within three years of appointment, if not already held. We will provide excellent professional development, mentoring and support to help you develop the specialist skills required to excel in deaf education.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to developing their British Sign Language (BSL) skills and to promoting the linguistic, cultural and educational needs of deaf children.

If you are passionate about improving outcomes for deaf children, ambitious in your practice and excited by the opportunity to work within an exceptional specialist setting, we would love to hear from you.

Essential requirement: Candidates must be willing to undertake and successfully complete the Mandatory Qualification for Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People (MQToD) within three years of taking up post if they do not already hold this qualification. The Mandatory qualification would be funded by the employer.
