Role description – Magazine proofreader

Tenure –  Two years with possibility of extension

Time commitment – Minimum five hours per quarterly edition

Main purposes of role –  Proofreading Magazine articles in line with the ÌÇÐÄTV House style guide whilst preserving the voice of the author

Key tasks –

• Liaison with proofreading team and proofreading lead
• Adding suggestions to the articles in the shared Magazine Google Drive folder
• Contribute to feedback eg themes to shape the future magazine themes, ÌÇÐÄTV house style via the Proofreader lead for discission at the annual Magazine meeting
• Take part in brief training if guidance is required
• Take part in discussing with volunteers how the Team behind the Magazine work

Key outcomes –

• The Magazine retains its place as a flagship publication for 1300 readers
• Presentation Quality of magazine maintains high standard
• Content of magazine reflects feedback
• The professional knowledge and experience of the post holder is extended
